MEET THE COACHES & REGISTRATION INFORMATION
We're so excited get back in the pool for a full season of fun with the CSTC Swim Team! New swimmers are always welcome if they can swim the length of the pool unassisted. If you're interested in join the team this year, plan on stopping by CSTC for the SWIM TEAM MEET THE COACHES & REGISTRATION DAY - May 15th 1-3:30 p.m.. We'll make sure you have everything you need to be prepared for the season.
To complete your registration, the following forms will need to be submitted for EACH swimmer to the CSTC Office or Kristine Mazzella prior to the first practice in order to participate on the team:

All families need to register their swimmer(s) for Swimmingly in order to participate in swim meets this year. This will provide each parent in the system with their own blueprint for success by giving them access to add their swimmers' meet rosters as well as their results! SWIM PRACTICE TIMES
Week 1: May 23th - May 26th | Week 2: May 31st - June 2nd (no practice May 30th)
15-19 Year Olds 5:30-6:30 p.m.
11-14 Year Olds 6:45-7:45 p.m.
9-10 Year Olds 5:30-6:30 p.m.
8 & Unders 6:45-7:45 p.m.
**Practice times are based on skill level, not age and are at the discretion of the coach.**
Starting the Week of June 6th:
Practice A • 7:45 am - 9:45 am
Practice B • 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Practice C • 10:45 am - 11:45 am
PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS:
Private swim lesson may be scheduled individually with any of the CSTC swim coaches or lifeguards who are Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certified. Please speak to a staff member in the CSTC Office for more information.
ABOUT OUR COACHES:
Ty Schaab is a graduate of Canfield High School, and is currently entering his Sophomore year at Miami University, majoring in Kinesiology & Premedical Studies. He has been swimming for the CSTC since he was 7 years old, as well as Neptunes and Penguins Swimming. He was a member of the Canfield High School Swim and Dive Team for 4 years, and served as Varsity Captain his senior year. He is a 3 time OHSAA District qualifier, as well as a 2 time Division II State Qualifier in the 200 medley relay (breaststroke) and 200 freestyle relay. Ty is also a 5 time YMCA Zone qualifier in many different events, and recently became a 2022 College Club Swimming National Championship qualifier in the 50 breaststroke. This is Ty’s second year as an assistant coach, and previously junior coached the CSTC Swim Team for 4 years. He is very excited to be back and ready to help his swimmers have a fun and successful summer.
Mark Lanterman is a graduate of Poland High School. He started swimming his freshman year of high school for Poland and then soon joined Applewood Swim Club, YMCA Neptunes, and Penguin Swimming. He was a 3 time OHSAA District qualifier, as well as a 1 time Division II state qualifier in the 100 yard freestyle. Mark is also a 1 time zone qualifier in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 800 freestyle relay, and 200 freestyle relay. He continued his swimming career for one season at Westminster college where he placed 7th in the Conference in the 100 backstroke, 3rd in the conference for the 400 medley relay (backstroke), and 6th in the conference for the 400 free relay. He is excited to be back involved with the sport and is ready for a great summer!
Mia Pantalone is a graduate of Howland High School and is currently going into her sophomore year as a student at Ohio University majoring in Early Elementary and Childhood Education with a minor in Coaching Education. She swam for Warren Olympic Club in the summer, and Warren G. Harding Swim and Dive Team during the winter months leading up to high school. Throughout Mia's high school swim career, she was a 4 time Division I District Qualifier as a part of the 200 Medley relay team (freestyle), and 400 Freestyle relay. As well as a Division I Districts Qualifier in events of 50 & 100 Freestyle, 200 IM, and 100 Butterfly throughout her freshman, sophomore and senior year. Mia is a two time record holder at Howland High School with my qualifying District relay teams in my junior and senior year. She looks forward to the upcoming season as my first year at CSTC as an Assistant Swim Coach and am excited for a fun summer
Luke Dietz Is a graduate from Canfield High school and will be attending Miami University this fall studying Finance and pre law. He has been swimming since the age of 6 years old on the CSTC swim team as well as Neptunes. Luke has swam for his high school all 4 years and served as a captain his senior year. He has qualified for state all four years and qualified for YMCA nationals for 2 years as well as a 9 time zones qualifier. This is Luke's first year as an assistant coach but has been around the CSTC as the head lifeguard and sub-manager. He is ready for this summer and is excited to watch his swimmers have fun.
