MEET THE COACHES & REGISTRATION INFORMATION
We're so excited get back in the pool for a full season of fun with the CSTC Swim Team! New swimmers are always welcome if they can swim the length of the pool unassisted. If you're interested in join the team this year, plan on stopping by CSTC for the SWIM TEAM MEET THE COACHES & REGISTRATION DAY on May 8th from 10:00-1:00. We'll make sure you have everything you need to be prepared for the season. **Due to Covid restrictions, we will not have suit try-on this year. Swimmers can wear any red and/or black racing suit.
To complete your registration, the following forms will need to be submitted for EACH swimmer to the CSTC Office prior to the first practice in order to participate on the team:

All families need to register their swimmer(s) for Swimmingly in order to participate in swim meets this year. This will provide each parent in the system with their own blueprint for success by giving them access to add their swimmers' meet rosters as well as their results! SWIM PRACTICE TIMES
Week 1: May 24th-May 27th & Week 2: June 2nd-June 3rd (no practice May 31st or June 1st)
Monday/Wednesday: 15-19 Year Olds 5:30-6:30 p.m.
13-14 Year Olds 6:45-7:45 p.m.
Tuesday/Thursday: 9-10 Year Olds 5:30-6:30 p.m.
8 & Unders 6:45-7:45 p.m.
**Practice times are based on skill level, not age and are at the discretion of the coach.**
Starting the Week of June 7th:
Practice A • 7:45 am - 9:45 am
Practice B • 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Practice C • 10:45 am - 11:45 am
PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS:
Private swim lesson may be scheduled individually with any of the CSTC swim coaches or lifeguards who are Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certified. Please speak to a staff member in the CSTC Office for more information.
ABOUT OUR COACHES:
Kyle Kimerer, a Boardman High School graduate, is a third-year Division I student-athlete at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, specializing in sprint freestyle and butterfly events. He has also earned a Team Captain title during his career and contributed to two program records for the Golden Griffs in the 800 Freestyle Relay and 200 Medley Relay. On the academics side, Kimerer studies Digital Media Arts and Business, and has maintained a 4.0 GPA in both his major and minor studies, respectively. His coaching experience includes one year at Boardman Tennis & Swim Club as well as two years at Canfield Swim and Tennis Club as Assistant Coach. He is excited to be leading the CSTC Swim Team through a fun and successful season!
Mason Rassega is a graduate of Boardman High School and will be a junior at Youngstown State University. He is studying Kinesiology and Exercise Science to become a physical therapist. Mason was a part of YSU’s Men's swim team and competed in the Horizon League Championship his freshman year. He swam in the 50 yd freestyle, 100 yd freestyle and 100 yd butterfly. He is also a three year Division 1 OHSAA district qualifier in the 50 yd freestyle, 100 yd freestyle, and the 200 yd freestyle relay. He finished his senior year qualifying for the OHSAA state meet in the 200 yd free relay. During his senior year as captain he led his team to their first undefeated season in 11 years on the Boardman High School swim team. This is Mason’s second season as coach at CSTC and is excited to be a part of it and to have another great year!
Ty Schaab is a graduate of Canfield High School. He has been swimming for the CSTC since he was 7 years old, as well as Neptunes and Penguins Swimming. He was a member of the Canfield High School Swim and Dive Team for 4 years, and served as Varsity Captain his senior year. He is a 3 time OHSAA District qualifier, as well as a 2 time Division II State Qualifier in the 200 medley relay (breaststroke) and 200 freestyle relay. Ty is also a 5 time Zone qualifier in the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke, 50 freestyle, and the 200 medley relay. Ty has been junior coaching the CSTC Swim Team for 4 years, but this is his first year as an Assistant Coach. He is very excited for the season and ready to help his swimmers have a great year!
